The local dealership where I bought my SEAT Ibiza 1.2 TSI 2 years ago has given up the franchise. I now have to travel an hour to a SEAT dealer. That would have been fine if the car had not been dogged by problems, meaning time off work, expense and time wasted. The most recent problem was warped brake discs, which as well as most of the day off work cost me £249 to repair. Having written to SEAT they have not replied in writing but have employed a youth to ring me up and basically tell me the discs were not covered by warranty, as I expected, and the franchise change was my problem, not theirs. As the car had only done 11,000 miles of urban driving I was a bit miffed that I was not offered any goodwill.
