Which family hatchback for under £4000?
I need a family hatchback for under £4000. I'm thinking that an Octavia is slightly too big for my needs and the Fabia doesn't get as good reviews. Is it worth considering a KIA cee’d 1.6 CRDi or a SEAT Leon 1.9 TDI, although they don't appear to be as good to drive as the Focus?

If you can find a cee'd or Hyundai i30 1.6CRDI for £4000, yes. Avoid the 2.0CRDI. That is an old belt cam engine. A Leon 1.9TDI is pretty much the same as an Octavia underneath, just more stylish.
