Is the post-2011 Volkswagen Passat a reliable car?

I have noted owner’s comments about the 2005-11 Volkswagen Passat reliability problems. There seem to be very few about the post-2011 model and I am wondering if you have any feedback as to whether or not this model is any more reliable - particularly the manual 2.0-litre TDI 140PS.

Not yet. Of course, they are still all under warranty and tidal waves of complaints do not usually flow in until cars are out of warranty. That said, a lot of the problem areas of the 2005-2011 were addressed and designed out of the 2011 model.
