My brand-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is suffering from repeated faults. Can I return it?

We have purchased a brand new C250CDI Auto estate from our local Mercedes-Benz dealer. In the first month of ownership there has been a problem with the brakes (rear pads replaced under warranty) and now a gearbox fault, with talk of having to replace the entire gearbox on a one-month-old car. The car is currently sitting at Mercedes-Benz dealer awaiting "guidance" from MB UK. Are you aware of other problems with this model and what are my rights? I now have the distinct feeling this is a "Friday afternoon" car in the true sense of 1980s Alfas.

You could go to law and attempt to reject the car, but if the dealer fights this could be very expensive. Or you could simply wait for the repair and accept it back repaired.
