Why don't the window seals on my Yaris remove rainwater?
Shortly after I bought my Toyota Yaris I found that the side window bottom seal mouldings were not scraping the rain off the side windows when the windows were lowered. The seals were changed but there was no improvement. I have now been informed by Toyota that the seals are not designed to clear water from the windows but just to prevent water entering the inside of the doors. The two side mirrors are viewed through the front side windows. Rain on these windows makes viewing these mirrors difficult. I would be grateful for any advice you can give me, or for the name of any organization that may help me.

The purpose of window seals is not to remove rainwater from windows. If you want to do that, use a chamois leather, or a nylon blade before you drive the car. That's what I do.
