Which automatic should I replace my 2010 Volkswagen Golf with?
I would value your opinion on which would be the best automatic for me. At present I own and run a 2010 Volkswagen Golf 1.4TSI Match DSG. I have had the all the previously mentioned problems with hesitancy (which my local Volkswagen dealer doesn’t seem to be able to fix) and no longer trust the gearbox. I need an automatic because of a knee problem. Can you recommend a different manufacturer? My budget is around £25 000 including p/x.

The car I am currently driving: a Mazda 6 2.2d 150 Skyactive SE-L Nav automatic, £24,395, or £24,915 with metallic paint. I'm now getting 50mpg. It has a 6-speed torque converter auto and none of the irritations of a VAG car. In particular you can move the lever from N to D without touching the brakes. And it has a proper handbrake, not an electric parking brake switch.
