Why is our Polo's fuel economy the same as our Audi TT's?
I have covered 5700 miles, all on V-Power, in our 2011 Polo 1.2TSI 105 following your recommendation. It’s a great car in all aspects but one. On a run I average low forties to the gallon which is exactly what my 2009 Audi TT 2.0 TSFI DSG coupe does. I accept we will never get the fuel economy the stats suggest, but a 1200cc 4-cylinder engine achieving the same as a 2000cc 4-cylinder appears wrong. Has there been a notified fuel economy issue with TSI engines?

I only got about 44mpg out of a Polo 1.2TSI 105, and the same as from the larger Mk VII Golf with the 1.2TSI. But you'll find other people's experiences in www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg. Please add yours.
