Should I buy an ex-Olympic fleet BMW?

I noticed this week a selection of ex-Olympic BMWs has gone on sale at dealers. They seem to be mostly 520d EDs and a few 318d Tourings. I was looking at the 5-Series in particular and prices are dirt cheap, starting at around £22,000. Obviously they are all 2012 reg with less than 2500 miles on the clock (some only showing a few hundred). I counted 100 on the AUC site. All have Pro Nav and DAB too. I'm suggesting one to my father to replace his E46 3-series.

I think they're worth grabbing. BMW did say that disposal was going to be careful and organised, but they would say that. wouldn't they? My 320dED will probably come up this month or next and that's very well equipped.
