Should I convert my 2007 Vauxhall Astra to LPG or sell it?
I recently changed job, meaning that the mileage I cover will increase significantly. As I see it, I have three options. I could LPG-convert my 2007 Astra TwinTop 1.8 litre Design, which is at 19,500 miles with a full Vauxhall service history. Or I could trade it in now, or wait until spring in the hope of achieving a better price. I would appreciate your advice, particularly regarding the LPG conversion option

GM Vauxhall has plenty of experience of converting to LPG and has a facility for doing this at the Millbrook test centre in Bedfordshire. But the only economy benefit of LPG is its favourable tax treatment. As a fuel, it is less efficient than either diesel or petrol. So if its tax status changed then it could become a liability, like it did the last time its tax status changed. It could be that the car will fetch better money in March or April, but I can't guarantee that.
