Buying a 10 year old BMW 330d - what should I look out for?

I am looking to buy a 10 year old BMW 330d. My price range is about £4000, but I would welcome your opinion, as you often advise the pitfalls of purchasing a car past it's seven year intended life expectancy.

In addition to a thorough inspection before purchasing the car, what likely repair costs should I factor in for a car of this age. Will I need to prepare myself for replacing all four wheels, a new turbo and automatic transmission fluid as well?
