Nissan Qashqai sold with incorrect mileage - what can I do?

I bought my Nissan Qashqai in 2012 after I was shown a photo of it by my local dealer. I really liked the car and was impressed that it had only covered 21,000 miles. I deposited some money for the car and was given a week to come back for the collection, but on the day I finally saw the car I noticed that the mileage was not actually what they told me the day I made the deposit. Instead of the said 21,000 miles it had 29,995, that is 8000 miles higher than what I was shown on the day of purchase.

I complained at the time, but they didn’t do anything. The worst part is that a few months ago the vehicle developed an unexplainable fault that cost me over £1000, but all I could get back from the manufacturer was £80. What can I do about getting money back from the dealer?

If you bought the car in April 2012 there isn't much you can do against the dealer who sold it to you now. Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
