Did you know that some insurance companies are restricting where cars can be repaired?
We have all seen insurers gradually remove features that used to be part of "Fully Comprehensive" policies but one insurer has placed a formidable restriction on where you have your car repaired. All their policies now include an additional £200 excess if you have do not go to one of their nominated repairers! Being in the trade I know the value of specialist repairers. Insurers are getting very fond of whisking cars away on transporters without telling you where the car is going to be repaired. If this company gets away with this, other insurers are bound to follow.
