Why is my Polo making a creaking noise?
My Volkswagen Polo has been making loud creaking noises from the suspension when braking or going over bumps or unsmooth acceleration. Is this a critical problem or one I can just out down to age/usual wear and tear?

Presumably the rear. It can be a characteristic of Volkswagens as they get older. Get the twist beam bearings checked. See if the parking brake cable is rubbing against something.
