Buying a used 4x4 for £15k - which model is best?

I am looking for a second hand 4x4 for about £15,000 as I spend a few months each year in the Alpes for skiing. I am considering the Nissan X-Trail or Hyundai Santa Fe. Both seem reasonable 4x4s, but I was wondering which one you would recommend?

If you can find a 2010MY or later Hyundai Santa Fe with the chain cam R Type engine, that's the one to go for. Manual better than auto. £15,000 should buy you one.
