What's wrong with my Nissan X-Trail?

My 2001 Nissan X-Trail is giving me all sorts of problems. First, I was asked to replace the accelerator sensor and throttle body sensor, but neither fixed the car. I was asked to replace the fuel regulator, but still the car is not running properly. Can you help?

Did the Nissan dealership carry out a diagnostic check on the engine and if so did he get a fault code (ie P ---- 4 numbers)? If he did what was that fault code?

We would suggest that the fuel filter is checked/changed in the first instance.
Not sure why the dealer would just change different items unless the diagnostic indicated this. Other than that we would suggest that the HO2S sensor (sometimes called the Lambda sensor) is also checked/changed.

I have a 2003 Nissan X-Trail, diesel with low power. It will not pull properly and feels like it is missing a lot of power. It crawls up to 3500rpm, then takes off. Any idea what the fault could be?
