Dealer won't refund my deposit - what can I do?
I put a deposit on a car subject to a RAC check showing no finance. The check came back showing that finance was still outstanding on the vehicle and I demanded a refused on my deposit. However, the dealer has now refused to give my money back. What can I do?

Basically a deposit is consideration in a contract to buy a car. Not buying it is a breach of that contract. But because you wisely had the term inserted into the contract, the dealer is in breach of contract to you for not refunding the deposit. You will probably need to sue him for it using www.moneyclaim.gov.uk
