Compatible winter tyres & wheels for Honda Jazz
I would like to fit winter tyres and wheels to my Honda Jazz and would appreciate your advice on compatibility. The car currently has 185/55 R15 tyres on 15x6 JJ alloys and a nearby garage suggests I get 175/65 R15 tyres with a 5 1/2 x 15 steel wheel.
On the other hand, my local dealer said Honda offer a winter tyre and wheel combination, but only list them for newer models (implying that these are not compatible with our model).
Will either of these be compatible with our car or should I continue to look for identically sized wheels and tyres to those which are on the car at present?

185/55 R15 is a very common size. I'd keep looking. My Fiat is on 185/55 R15s, but for the winter I fit 175/65 R14s on a separate set of steel wheels.
Alternatively you could go for a set of Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons tyres on your existing wheels and leave them on all year round. Readers report identical tyres wear to summer tyres, so they seem to be the best of all worlds. www.event-tyres.co.uk can supply at sensible cost.
