What's causing mu car to screech at start up?
My Nissan X-Trail makes an awful screeching noise when it starts up, yet rights itself once I get moving. Can you tell me what’s going on?

Probably the alternator belt slipping on the alternator pulley as the alternator battles to put some power back into the battery. Could be a loose belt, could be a worn out alternator, could be a failing battery. I suggest you take it to a garage to be checked.
