Buying a first car for £1500 - what do you recommend?

My daughter wishes to purchase her first car and has a very limited budget of about £1500. She would like something small and compact, reliable and economical to run. Do you have any other suggestions?

Toyota Yaris 1.0. They are hard to come by because the are the best small cars for this sort of money. Next best, a Fiesta 1.25.
