Searching for an estate that's suitable for a small family - what's out there?
We have two young kids and one more on the way. We need to replace our 2002 Mercedes-Benz C180K saloon with something slightly bigger. We are being offered £1550 for trade-in and have an additional £5000 to spend; can you recommend a reliable estate?

Eventually you will need something capable of carrying three child seats side by side and that restricts your choice to a Citroen Berlingo Multispace, Citroen Picasso, Peugeot 307SW, or a Ford S-max.

Makes sense of the 307. Up to seven forward-facing seats. Good to drive. Decent diesels.
