Ford Fiesta or Fusion - which is best?
I’m looking to buy a used car and am considering either a Ford Fusion or a Fiesta, circa 2003-2004. I've read that the Fusion is more practical, but the extra weight makes it perform poorly with the 1.4 TDCI engine. Also my gripe with the Fiesta is that it's a bit low and we have high kerbs, which could be a problem. So all in all, which car would you recommend for me - a Fusion or a Fiesta?
One last thing, how can I find out if they have ESP? Is there a light that is supposed to come on and vanish when I turn the key or will the light only turn on when it's in use?

Avoid the 1.4 TDCI. It's not a good engine. Better a 1.4 petrol or 1.6 TDCI. The Fusion rides higher than a Fiesta and has a flat load deck but does not handle as well on corners. A 2003/2004 won't have ESP and is better off without it.
