Broken Mercedes-Benz COMAND unit - can it be fixed?
My 2007 Mercedes-Benz E280 Comand infotainment unit has completely failed - there is nothing on the screen and no buttons work. The dealer said an exchange unit, which has to come from Germany, is £1570 plus VAT and is the only option as all power/coms going to the unit is fine. Surely there are companies in the UK who can repair these units, as not all functions can be faulty?

Sorry, I don't know of anyone who can reliably repair these. Remember you will be paying a labour rate of around £120per hour + VAT, so that soon eats away at £1,570, and it may not actually be possible to repair the unit.
