Why is my Mercedes-Benz using so much oil?
Can you tell me why my Mercedes-Benz is using so much oil? It’s a 2007 C-Class automatic with 39,000 miles on the clock, but it is now consuming 2.5 litres per 5000 miles. Do I have a problem?

2.5 litres in 5000 miles is 0.5 litres per 1000 miles which is within manufacturer spec, but still high. I'd get the compression checked. If that's ok you could have some worn valve stem seals.
