Caught speeding, but no idea who was driving - what should we do?

We have received two speeding fine for offences committed on the same day. On the day in question, my husband, my daughter and myself were out on family trip and all three of us took turns driving. Problem is, we don’t know who was behind the wheel when we were caught speeding.

I wrote back to ask for clarification as to who was driving, but the photos they have sent only show the number plates – it’s impossible to tell who was behind the wheel. My husband is prepared to take the blame, but this doesn't somehow seem right as he has 40 years driving experience with no speeding convictions at all. What should we do?

Between a rock and a hard place because if you take the blame for someone else you could go to jail like the MP and his wife recently. So you have to continue to plead ignorance of who was driving, in which case the fine and the points will be imposed on the registered keeper.
