Honda CRV - can I upgrade the wheels?
I bought a 2006 Honda CRV 2.0i EX last year. It's been brilliant so far, but one little aesthetic thing bothers me: the wheels (original 16-inch alloys with 205/65 tyres) just look too small for such a big old wagon.
Yesterday I spotted a 2010 CRV with Honda 18-inch 10-spoke alloys and 225/60 tyres, and wondered if the same would fit my older model? Would I need lower profile tyres and how much would they affect the ride?

No. The 2007 - 2012 CR-V came on 17-inch wheels with 225/65 R17s. 18-inch wheels with 225/60 R18s or the best avoided 19-inch wheels with 245/45 R19s that completely wrecked the ride quality. The earlier model has smaller wheels and tyres.
