Faulty air con - what's causing the fault?

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion. A year ago I had the pressure tested on the air conditioning and had the unit regassed as it was not blowing cool air. This fixed the problem for a while, but the fault gradually returned. I’ve also noticed a loud click every 10 seconds when the air con is on, what could it be?

Probably lost gas again and the pump is struggling as a result.
