Why isn't isn't my new car on the insurance database?

After a four month wait, I am picking up my new Ford Tourneo Custom (limited) next week. The only problem is that no insurance company actually knows it exists, even Ford insurance won't cover it! What shall I do?

Forget 'direct' insurers and price comparison sites. It must be listed by the ABI as a commercial vehicle. You can get insurance for all sorts of obscure vehicles not normally sold in the UK. A good broker such as www.primoplc.com can help.
