Flashing airbag light

The airbag light on the dashboard of my Citroen Xsara keeps flashing on and off, what could be causing this?

A fault with the airbag trigger mechanism or circuitry. Might be simple. Might not. But is an MoT failure. Call in www.airbagman.co.uk
