My Yaris is consuming oil

Wonder if you can give me some advice on my Yaris 1.4 D4D oil consumption. It has just had its second consumption test and has used 1.4L of oil in just under 2,000 miles which the dealer says is perfectly fine.

I have had the 5-speed Auris 1.4 D4D and the 2.2 Auris SR180, neither used a drop of oil between services.

Not much coverage online but have read some things about turbo issues, ECU issues etc with the Yaris diesel engine, with even a total failure at 20k. The car is well within warranty so I want to get this sorted as its a great car.

Already had to off load my Auris SR180 earlier this year due to water pump failure on a car under four years old and under 60k. My confidence in Toyota rapidly decreasing.

Would be grateful if you could offer advice based on similar issues, I think BMW used the same unit in the MINI One D.

Sorry, no prior feedback on this. Have added to the car by car entry. The same engine was used in the R50 MINI D, but not the R56 which initially had a PSA/Ford 1.6, then BMW's own chain cam diesel.
