Which car can I replace my Jaguar S-Type with?
I have driven Jaguars for the last fifteen years, but would like to downsize for my next car. What models should I be looking at to replace my S-Type that will still give the comfort, quality, pace and special feeling I get from my Jaguars? I usually buy one or two-year-old cars. Running costs are not an issue as my mileage is low these days.

The nicest and certainly the most reliable of this sort of car is a Lexus IS250 automatic, but most of them come on bling 18-inch wheels that do nothing for the ride comfort. Try to find one on 17-inch wheels with 225/50 R17 tyres, or even 16-inch if you can.

Your reply about the new MoT made me think that perhaps I should consider changing my 2000-registered Lexus IS 200SE. As an 80-year-old we do around 5000 miles a year, with a high percentage of short journeys....
