Which small car with a large boot should I buy?

I currently drive a Mini Clubman Cooper D. I have liked the Mini’s economy and low road tax and would want at least as good, if not better economy from any new car. I do mainly short journeys but also some occasional longer journeys. I would prefer a five-door car with a large, easily accessible boot. Most of the time there is only me in the car. Would you suggest another diesel?

I think your best bet is a SEAT Ibiza ST, with the 1.2 TSI 105 engine. It's good value, and has just been facelifted too: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/seat/ibiza-st-2010

More practical alternative to the standard MINI. Five useable seats and neat extra rear door to make getting into the back easier. Cooper D is the pick of the range.
Comfortable, easy to drive and affordable to run. Load area is a good size. Reasonable prices.
