Which small car is suitable for a smaller driver?

I have been asked to help a lady in her early eighties with a change of car. She is a very competent but cautious driver who currently drives a 1997 Rover 100 1.1i. She is a very petite five foot tall driver who will find anything bigger than the Rover intimidating, so size, view and comfort are likely to be important. She has a maximum of £7000 to spend. Which reliable secondhand purchase would you recommend?

Toyota Yaris' have always been good for smaller people, including my 4-foot 11-inch wife who has had one since 2004.
