Is a Panda 1.2 4x4 suitable for harsh winter driving?
Our son will be living near the Scottish border for a year. I am thinking of buying him a Panda 1.2 4x4, and fitting it with winter tyres from November to March. Is this a sensible choice and is there anything I should be worried about in a 2009 petrol model?

You can find general information about the 1.2 4x4 here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/fiat/panda-4x4-2005/ and a test here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/fiat/fiat-panda-4x.../ But there is also a new Panda 4x4 on the way.
