What do you think of the Megane Sport Tourer engine?
I am considering changing my 2009 Renault Laguna 205GT Turbo for a Renault Megane Sport Tourer GT. The 1.2-litre turbo injection engine seems an interesting and economical development and is road tax exempt. What are your views on this engine and will it last?

It's a very sweet, very smooth engine, but it isn't tax-free. It's 119g/km so road tax is £30 a year. Here's a test and video of it: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/renault/megane-201.../
