Why is our Hyundai Getz only returning 27mpg?
Why do you think my wife's Hyundai Getz 1.4 CDX automatic is giving such poor mpg? It averages just 27mpg and although it is only used around town we are disappointed. It is a 2007 car, has 11,000 miles on the clock and has been main dealer serviced from new. We would appreciate your opinion.

Because the car is only used about town and this sort of use is gradually filling the fuel system with hydrocarbons that make it less efficient. It would self-clean better on Shell V-Power.
