Can I recommend Roadhawk in-car video cameras?
Regarding the letter from NB asking about forward-facing in-car video cameras, may I suggest you look at the Road Hawk camera system? It is a compact unit with a windscreen mount that fits neatly behind the mirror. It can be hardwired so there are no battery problems, and unlike other in-car black box camera systems, the Road Hawk units such as the DC-1 continually record colour video and GPS data on a loop, on to a solid state SD memory card. In the event of a sudden shock the previous 20 seconds and following 20 seconds are saved and won’t be over written. A single memory card can hold several days of information that can be used in evidence should a court case occur.
The company offers a twin pack, so you can fit one in the front and one in the rear. I have one in my Volkswagen EOS but my insurance company were not interested in offering a discount or even seemed to know the benefits of the system. Perhaps some prodding from you would wake them up to what is a superb system. All the details are at www.roadhawk.co.uk

Many thanks. I received about 20 recommendations for Roadhawk, and numerous others, so links are now installed in Useful Websites at: www.honestjohn.co.uk/useful-websites/parts-accesso.../
