I have an 8000 mile 2011 Skoda diesel Octavia estate but now no longer do the miles needed to avoid DPF problems. I need a car (not necessarily an estate, but I wouldn't mind another) to cope with golf clubs. Obviously petrol is better with an annual mileage of about 8000. I would like to think that I could keep the car for some time so running costs, servicing and reliability are all important. I would very much appreciate your comments and thoughts. I have found Skoda to be reliable, but am happy to look elsewhere for the right vehicle. I'd like to buy new or a newish secondhand/demonstrator up to £20,000.
