Is Honda UK in good health?
I wonder if Honda UK is in good health? I seldom if ever see any Honda advertising and our nearest Honda agents seem polite and very efficient, but somewhat subdued. We have a Jazz 1.4 ES I-shift via the Motability scheme and it’s due to be replaced in a year's time. We like it very much as it's comfortable and easy to use, except perhaps for its gearbox. However if Honda itself is in difficulty that might not be the best course of action.

Last year, Honda got hit by the Tsunami in Japan. So it moved a lot of parts production to Thailand. That got washed out by the October floods in Thailand. Parts shortages explains the delays for UK built cars. It was not until April that both Honda’s Thai and UK factories resumed full production. Manufacturers have learned lessons from this and are now dispersing parts production to several different locations worldwide instead of concentrating the production of one type of part in one place.
