My Kia Rio is returning an average of 72.8mpg.
I watched with disgust a recent 5th Gear programme where Kia's claimed mpg for the new Rio was "tested". The test was conducted by what could only be described as loutish drivers attempting to wring the neck of a small family car as they would a high performance sports car. I bought a new Kia Rio 1.1 Ecodynamics 2 last September. Kia quotes 74.3 mpg; my car is returning an average of 72.8mpg. It is driven as most normal people drive - mostly sensibly and without too much drama. Well done, Kia for producing such an excellent and economical vehicle.

Good for you. And real people are achieving the average that you are. www.honestjohn.co.uk/realmpg shows that the real average on 13th April was 71.9mpg. A rise of more than 15mpg over winter fuel economy.
