Buying an estate car

We are a newly married couple. We have two cars at the moment (Audi A3 1.6 2001 and a Golf 2.0 TDI 2004) and are looking to trade in both for an estate car.

We need a big boot as we love camping and have a golden retriever. Budget of about £8,000. Estimated milage of circa 14,000.

Not used for commuting the mileage would be made up from long distance driving for holidays e.g to the Alps. Looking for something that is economical to run.
