Buying an economical family car?
I want to purchase a second hand car that is brilliant on fuel consumption, good on tax and insurance, but quite a large car if possible?

Volvo and Ford have been sticking 1.6TDCI 115 motors into Mondeos, S80s, etc. But I reckon the best homes for that engine are the Mazda 5 1.6d TS2 amnf the Peugeot 5008. Less keen on VAG's 1.6TDI in cars like the Passat and Skoda Superb because of the negative feedback.
