Noise all-wheel drive after tyre change?

I've just fitted new tyres to the front axle on my 2005 Sornento. Since noticed a whining whirling noise on over run and on hill climbing, not tyre noise. Should I change the rears to match? I've read the TOD transfer box may have issues with single axle tyre change.

Absolutely. The whining noise is the transmission trying to match the rolling circumferences of the tyres front to back, which are now different.
