Which SUV?
I want an SUV type vehicle, about 2 years old, with decent space and access, pothole friendly wheels, tyres and suspension and good reliability.
I do low mileage, mostly short runs with longer at the weekend. My choices are Nissan Qashqai 1.6 petrol Accenta, or Hyundai ix35 in Style trim, but should I go for a 1.7 diesel to get economy?
I worry about the long-term diesel issues. There's the 1.6 petrol too - it seems a bit thirsty judging by the feedback on Real MPG.

Diesel engines with DPFs don't like repeated short runs from cold starts, but I've had no reports yet of problems with the DPFs in ix35 and Sportage 1.7 diesels. The Qashqai 1.6DCI 130 has a new Renault engine with fast warm technology so should not be any trouble either.
