Steel wheels with winter tyres for a 5008?
I have bought a set of winter tyres fitted to new steel wheels from 'mytyres'. However I am getting conflicting advice on whether I need new wheel bolts as well. The car comes fitted with alloy wheels as standard 215/55 x 16". The new steel wheels are the same size.
The space saver spare is of course steel, and I assume it's OK to use the existing bolts for that. Your help would be appreciated.

Depends on the shape and length of the bolts. If they have tapered shoulders they are fine for steel wheels. If they have square shoulders they are not. You also have to check how far the bolts penetrate after being tightened with the steel wheels. I made the mistake of buying a complete set of tapered bolts for my steel wheels only to find that the bolts for the alloys were the same.
