Replacing a TT with a family car
I've been driving an Audi TT (180bhp FWD) for the last 7 years, but now our child is 2 it's time to think about something bigger, with space for friends/ relations.
I really like the quick response, handling and reserves of power in the TT but the family saloon/ hatch market is so crowded its hard to know what to look at. I know you rate the Mondeo and 3-series but would they feel a bit soggy? I'm looking to spend £18-23k (plus anything we can get for the TT) and we only do 5000 miles a year so a petrol engine, ideally manual transmission.

A Golf or a Leon are Audi TTs with 5 doors. A Civic 1.8 is pretty good and very economical. For the latest Golf, probably better to go for the 1.4TSI.
