Legal issue - Private car parking ticket
We parked in a private car park run by Premier Parking Solutions but unfortunately our tickets was either displayed upside-down or blew over when we closed the door. On return we had a ticket.
I wrote to Premier Parking Solutions saying I had a ticket and offering to send a copy. They responded that it was not displayed correctly (with photographs to prove it was there but without the date and time showing) and refusing to act in what I think would be a reasonable manner.
I have been given a week to pay the £60 (or up the ante to £100) and the opportunity to appeal via POPLA.
I am considering four options
1) pay!
2) Go to appeal and think again after the decision is made (could cost £40)
3) Say I am happy to go straight to court (For no good reason I have a distrust of POPLA) or;
4) Offer £10 to cover their admin costs in full and final payment.
What should I do? I know I was technically in breech of the conditions but it does seem very unfair and I resent the seemingly strong arm tactics.

The £10 tactic no longer works since 1st October. So it's pay up or let the matter go to the small claims track. It won't. They'll give up. Make sure you hang onto the evidence in the form of the ticket.
