Buying advice - Skoda Octavia

We are having to upgrade our car from an Ibiza to something bigger to accommodate our recent new arrival to the family. Had been looking at an Octavia estate and was wondering if you could recommend which model would be best.

We do around 8-9k miles a year and don’t particularly want to buy anything that is basic trim level. Our budget is £9-10k Is the Octavia estate a good option? If so, which version would be best? Would you recommend any other cars over the Skoda?

There is a lot of enthusiasm for Octavia estates, because they are a bit bigger then a Focus or Golf estate, but smaller than a Mondeo or Passat estate. Pick your engine carefully.
