Courtesy car. Am I entitled?
I am insured with Diamond and on the 27th December, whilst out driving in a car park a woman came out of a junction, didn't stop and went right into the side of my car. She blamed me and said it was my fault so we exchanged details and both phoned our own insurance companies (she is with Aviva).
Since then I haven't got far. I got a text from Aviva saying they have accepted full liabilty but then Diamond phoned me and said they are still trying to get them to admit it? Hmm. Anyways, Diamond passed me onto a company Albany Assistance, which I've not heard good things about. I asked them for a hire car, but they came to the conclusion I would be cheaper getting a bus.
Put my car into garage for repairs today and they said it will take a week. I was expecting a couple of days at least. Now I want to know what I am entitled to. I don't really want to get a hire car from Albany as I've heard they charge 3rd party for the hire at a very expensive rate and it could end up being me paying for it if they refuse.
Is there any other way I could get one? Or would I be entitled to bus fare etc back? I have fully comprehensive insurance.

Depends on the terms of your insurance policy. Some allow for a bodyshop courtesy car. Some don't. Do not get a credit hire car because it is your duty to mitigate your expenses and if the other party's insurer felt that the cost of the credit hire car was too much they could refuse to pay leaving you liable for the 'credit'.
