Mazda 6 oil consumption
Hi, I own a Mazda 5, 55 registration, about 82,000 miles run. It consumes 4ltrs engine oil almost every 1000 miles now. I checked for leak or smoke in exhaust but can't spot either of these symptoms.
I took it to 'Mazda service centre' and the mechanic is telling me that engine must be worn(without even opening the bonnet) and may need rebuild. what could be the reason or what course of action i can take? i bough the vehicle 3 years ago for 4.5K and def not worth replacing the engine. please advise.
