Honda Civic cooling fan on all of the time

After a journey the cooling fans on my Honda Civic stayed on for a while for first time ever. They went off after 5 mins. When I started the car today the fans came on and stayed on even though the car was cold. The heater has been very slow heating up recently, even worse than usual.

The heater will be slow to heat up if the fans are on. Suspect the engine temp sensor/sender has failed and stuck in the 'on' position. Not a major problem. Just need to get a new one fitted.
